Car Rental 001 – Olomouc

Rental terms and conditions

A clear and concise overview of rules that protect both the renter and the car rental company.

These transparent terms show you in advance what to expect – from deposit and minimum rental period to foreign trips and handling insurance claims.

Client conduct guidelines

  • Please return the vehicle clean, washed and undamaged. Any damage or deterioration must be reported in advance.
  • Always follow the agreed rental conditions – especially return date and time, fuel level and the no-smoking policy in the vehicle.
  • In the event of insurance claims, active cooperation with the rental company is required (filling in an accident report, contacting the police, etc.).
  • Violations of traffic rules (speeding, parking) and unpaid fines are borne by the renter. Such conduct may be considered a serious breach of the rental agreement – the rental may be terminated and the deposit and remaining rental fee may be forfeited. All damages will be recovered from the renter.

Basic rental conditions

  • Documents: the renter must present at least two valid identity documents. We reserve the right to request additional documents (e.g. health insurance card or criminal record extract) and to verify the renter’s reliability.
  • Right to refuse: we reserve the right to refuse to rent a vehicle without giving a reason.
  • Payment: the rental fee and collision-damage excess must be paid no later than at vehicle handover (deposit as per price list / contract).
  • Minimum rental period: 4 days.
  • Drivers: the vehicle may be driven by a maximum of two persons, provided they are listed in the rental agreement.
  • Billing: rental is charged in blocks of each 24 hours. After the agreed return time expires, a fee of CZK 100 per started hour is charged.
  • Vehicle return: subject to prior agreement, the vehicle may be returned at another branch. The fuel level at return must not be lower than at handover.

Travel abroad

  • Travelling to neighbouring countries is possible only with prior consent of the rental company.
  • For trips abroad, the renter is obliged, at their own expense, to arrange assistance insurance covering vehicle recovery/towing to the Czech Republic in case of breakdown, accident, etc.

Damage, insurance and liability

  • Vehicle damage, including interior damage, may result in forfeiture of the deposit (except where damage is demonstrably caused by another vehicle/participant).
  • If the vehicle registration certificate (OTP) is not returned, or if the licence plate(s) are damaged or lost, the deposit is forfeited.
  • In case of a traffic accident, the renter must always call the police, obtain a written record and contact the car rental company without delay.
  • In case of wrong fuel filled into the tank, the deposit is forfeited and the renter covers all additional costs including vehicle downtime.
  • Offences and fines are borne by the renter; for the duration of the rental, the renter is considered the vehicle’s operator.

Vehicle operation and maintenance

  • In case of any fault, stop the vehicle, switch off the engine and contact the rental company. Do not have repairs exceeding CZK 1,000 carried out without prior consent.
  • Smoking, eating and placing items on the dashboard are prohibited. Animals are not allowed in the vehicle.
  • The renter is responsible for topping up operating fluids as needed. Bulbs and fuses are replaced by the renter at their own cost (unless agreed otherwise).
  • Whenever you leave the vehicle, always secure it properly against theft and do not leave documents or valuables inside.

Personal data protection (GDPR)

Personal data are processed solely for the purpose of fulfilling the rental agreement, complying with legal obligations and protecting the legitimate interests of the controller (e.g. vehicle geolocation in exceptional situations). Details and contact information for exercising data subject rights are available on the controller’s website autopujcovna.as.
