How the rental works from booking to return
Hiring a car should be predictable before you arrive to collect the keys. Start by choosing a vehicle in the complete car catalogue or by opening the category that matches your trip. The detail page shows the car, equipment and current price ranges; the price list gives you a quick comparison across the fleet. If you are unsure which model makes sense, call us or send a WhatsApp message and tell us how many people are travelling, how much luggage you have and whether you prefer an automatic or manual transmission.
Once you know the dates, send the booking request in advance. The minimum rental period is 4 days. Rental time is normally calculated in 24-hour blocks, so the planned collection and return time matters as well as the date. Vehicle handover is arranged during opening hours after the reservation has been confirmed. We are open Monday to Thursday from 09:00 to 17:00 and Friday from 09:00 to 15:00; Saturday and Sunday are closed for handovers and returns.
At collection, the agreed vehicle, rental documents and the applicable refundable deposit are handled according to the selected car and contract. Before driving away, it is worth checking the agreed return time and the fuel and vehicle condition rules. The current restriction on travel abroad is described in the rental terms, together with documents, insurance incidents and other practical responsibilities.
Availability is always tied to the actual dates. A vehicle can be visible in the catalogue and still be reserved for part of your requested period, which is why the booking is not complete until it has been confirmed. Sending the request earlier also gives more room to choose between comparable cars instead of having to take whichever category happens to remain free at the last moment.
If something is unclear before you book, the FAQ covers common questions and the contact page contains the current phone number, WhatsApp link, opening hours and pick-up map. The aim is simple: you should know where to come, what the rental costs and what is expected before the journey starts.
Automatic, SUV, minibus or economy car: choose by the journey
There is no single “best” rental car. A compact model that is ideal for everyday city driving may be the wrong choice for a family with luggage, and a large vehicle is unnecessary when one or two people only need simple transport. That is why the Olomouc fleet is divided into practical groups rather than one long list.
If comfortable driving in traffic is the priority, browse automatic cars. They remove clutch work and make stop-and-go driving easier, while still being suitable for longer routes. Drivers who prefer a traditional gearbox can go directly to the manual car selection. For higher seating, more space and vehicles intended for varied road conditions, see the SUV and 4×4 category.
Groups and larger families usually need a different layout. The minibus and MPV section brings together vehicles with more seats so that passengers can travel together without splitting into several cars. If keeping the daily rate and running costs low is more important, start with economy cars. For customers who want more comfort, equipment or a representative vehicle, there is also a premium category.
Think about luggage before you focus on engine power or appearance. Four adults with suitcases can need more usable space than five people travelling light. The same applies to child seats, work equipment or sports gear. If the route includes a lot of city traffic, transmission may matter more than body size; on a longer family journey, seat comfort and luggage capacity usually move higher up the list.
The categories are shortcuts, not rigid labels. Open the car detail before booking and compare the actual number of seats, luggage space, transmission, drive type and price. That gives you a much better match than choosing only by brand or body style.
Unlimited mileage, longer rentals and a clear price comparison
For many customers the important question is not only the daily price, but what happens when the planned route changes. Most vehicles in our offer are available with unlimited mileage, so a longer Czech journey does not have to become a calculation of every extra kilometre. Always check the selected vehicle and current terms, because the detail of the specific car is the right place for model-specific conditions.
Rental prices are arranged by duration. A longer booking can therefore have a lower daily rate than a short one. The Olomouc price list shows the published ranges and the refundable deposit for each vehicle, while the booking form on the vehicle detail is intended for the exact dates. This is more useful than advertising one attractive “from” price without showing how the rate changes with the length of the rental.
When planning several weeks or a full month, compare the total cost rather than only the first daily figure you see. A longer rental also reduces the need to repeatedly organise collection, paperwork and vehicle changes. Business customers can use the same approach when they temporarily need an extra car for a project, an employee or a period when their own vehicle is unavailable.
The refundable deposit is part of the budget as well, even though it is not the rental price itself. Its amount depends on the selected vehicle and is shown in the price information. Looking at the daily rate and deposit together makes it easier to choose a car that fits both the journey and the amount you want to have tied up during the rental.
Clear conditions matter just as much as the price. The terms page explains the minimum rental period, deposits, 24-hour billing, late return charges and the current travel-abroad restriction. Reading those points before booking is the easiest way to avoid surprises at collection or return.
If you are comparing two cars with similar rates, choose according to the real trip: number of passengers, luggage, transmission, expected route and desired comfort. The cheapest option is only good value when it actually fits the journey.
Pick-up at Jeremenkova and practical information for Olomouc
The Olomouc handover point is at Jeremenkova 104/19, 772 00 Olomouc, in the car park in front of the post office near the main railway station. The location is shown in the map block below and can also be opened directly in Google Maps. Handover is arranged after a confirmed reservation, so please do not rely on arriving without prior contact and expecting a specific vehicle to be waiting.
Before setting out, check the agreed collection time. On weekdays the opening window is different on Friday, and there are no Saturday or Sunday handovers or returns. If your travel plan changes, contact us early enough to coordinate the practical side of the rental. The same applies to the return time, because rental periods are calculated in 24-hour blocks and late return is governed by the current terms.
Prepare the required documents before collection rather than looking for them at the handover point. The terms currently require at least two identity documents and may allow additional verification where needed. If another person will drive the car, make sure that this is dealt with in the rental agreement; the current rules allow a maximum of two drivers when both are entered in the contract.
Olomouc is a useful starting point for journeys around the Olomouc Region as well as longer trips within the Czech Republic. A small or economy car is often enough for ordinary transport; an estate or SUV makes more sense when luggage and passenger space become important; and a minibus can keep a larger group in one vehicle. For a quick overview, use the category cards at the top of this page, then check the actual vehicle detail before sending the reservation.
The address, opening hours and map on this website are taken from the current branch data. For questions about a booking, vehicle availability or the most suitable category, use the phone, WhatsApp or the contact page. That is faster and more reliable than guessing from a general description.
